Tasting Room Associate

This role focuses on showcasing Vincent Vineyards' wines and creating a memorable guest experience for guests. Essential Duties: Share the incredible story of the Vincent family and create a memorable, quality guest experience. Utilize strategic selling skills to encourage sales and new wine club membership. Acquire and share wine knowledge effectively and accurately to guests. Create and maintain a customer-oriented environment focused on building customer relationships and loyalty. Act as a wine ambassador on and off premise. Communicate with comfort, clarity and consistency, both verbally and in writing. Evening and weekend event assistance. Flexibility in working weekends and holidays is required. Complete other assignments and special projects as assigned. Qualifications Prior hospitality experience is preferred but not required. Wine knowledge ranging from the wine industry to production and farming; willing to attain that knowledge. Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, as well as keeping busy during slower periods. Flexibility with work weekends, events (including evenings), and some holidays. Professional, self‑motivated, organized and efficient with the ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced, small team environment. Passion, enthusiasm, focus, creativity and positive outlook. Excellent customer service skills along with being a fast learner of new systems. Goal oriented and sales driven. Professional appearance, demeanor, and enthusiasm. Proficiency in Point of Sales (POS) systems and basic computer skills preferred. Must be at least 21 years of age. High School diploma or equivalent. Completed required state certifications preferred. Otherwise, to be completed upon hiring. Physical Requirements Ability to perform physically demanding tasks outdoors in changing weather conditions. Ability to lift 50 lbs. Able to stand for long periods of time. Requires the ability to sit, bend, stoop, twist and walk over uneven surfaces for prolonged periods of time.
