Maintenance Technician III

Production Equipment Maintenance TechnicianThis position will engage in production equipment maintenance to ensure continuous production, including troubleshooting, regular Preventive Maintenance (PM) and equipment modification. May also be involved with basic mechanical or electrical work as needed.ResponsibilitiesPerform corrective and preventative maintenance of production equipment and controls to ensure operating conditionCommunicate directly with production departments to coordinate preventative maintenance and any troubleshooting work in productionPrepare and manage periodic preventative maintenance schedulesRecord/keep all documents related to preventive maintenance and troubleshooting work (including daily reports and check sheets)Coordinate with outside vendors/sources to schedule maintenance for any complex issuesMentor and train new maintenance techniciansMaintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain Right Location, Right Quantity, Right ContainerEnsure work is completed in a safe manner and maintain a safe work environmentPerform other duties as assignedQualifications and RequirementsMinimum of 8 years of maintenance experience in production/plant environmentHigh School Diploma/General Educational Development or higher degree requiredMust be able to properly and regularly utilize the following Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for a period of up to 12 hours Safety glasses Steel-toed shoesMust be able to do the following repeatedly for a period of up to 12 hours Lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds Stoop, twist, bend Reach overhead Sit and/or standSkillsProduction processesEquipment maintenanceCommon mechanical and electrical knowledgeProgrammable Logic Controller experience (PLC) * Preferred but not requiredVocational certification (i.e. journeyman) * Preferred but not requiredAssociate degree or relevant work experience
