Construction Technician (Entry-Level)

ECS Limited offers a unique opportunity for a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Field Technician in Charlotte, NC. Responsibilities Conduct field activities including observation, testing, and sampling of soils, aggregates, and concrete. Execute tasks based on project requirements under guidance of senior technicians. Perform routine field and laboratory tests using industry standards. Collect data, perform calculations, and handle drafting and administrative duties as needed. Maintain daily communication with site contractors and team members; attend meetings; manage field equipment. Receive training in ECS methodology; document findings with precision. Participate in internal and external training programs and certification opportunities (OSHA 10, ACI, ASNT, AWS, ICC, NICET, NRCA, RCI, State DOTs, WACEL, etc.). Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Ability to lift at least 85 pounds. Valid driver’s license and insurance. Willingness to learn heavy construction safety practices. Willingness to obtain CMT and ASTM certifications. OSHA 10 certification may be required. Strong communication skills. Ability to work with contractors, peers, and supervisors.
