Job Title

Registered Nurse – PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | Onsite | Every other weekend and every other holiday required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an 8-bed PICU with an average census of 4–5 patients, maintaining 1:1 or 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratios
• Manage and titrate drips including cardiac, insulin, heparin, and sedation medications
• Care for patients with diagnoses including respiratory conditions, DKA, trauma, neurological events, overdose, and post-surgical needs
• Operate and monitor respiratory therapy equipment including vents, CPAP, BiPAP, NAVA, vapotherm, and heliox
• Independently read, interpret, and document telemetry strips without monitor tech support
• Draw own labs and respond to emergency situations; may float to pediatric or adult areas based on census needs

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure
• Minimum 1 year of PICU experience required
• Current PALS certification required
• Current BLS certification required
• Demonstrated experience with intubated patients, sedation management, ICP monitoring, and EVDs
• Ability to titrate drips and manage emergency situations independently

Preferred Experience / Skills

• TNCC certification preferred
• Experience in NICU for potential float coverage
• Comfort working as a first-time traveler or as part of a travel duo
