Production Supervisor

The Production Supervisor will lead and oversee daily manufacturing operations for a designated shift. This role is critical in ensuring that safety, quality, production efficiency, and customer satisfaction targets are consistently met. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing leadership and a proven ability to motivate and manage a team in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities:Lead and train production employees to achieve shift goals in safety, quality, production, packaging, and maintenanceCoordinate closely with other departments (e.g., maintenance, quality, logistics) to ensure production targets are met in a timely and cost-effective mannerCollaborate with the operations team to manage staffing needs, ensuring coverage for planned and unplanned absencesEstablish and track performance metrics for safety, quality, and productivity; take corrective actions to maintain or improve resultsAccurately input production data into internal systems to monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), such as equipment efficiency, downtime, yield, and inventory levelsMaintain clear and consistent communication by updating visual boards and leading daily start-up meetings to inform employees about safety alerts, production goals, and quality issuesDrive continuous improvement initiatives focused on labor efficiency, machine uptime, and cost control—leveraging lean tools as neededFoster a culture of workplace organization and cleanliness by implementing 5S principles and promoting plant housekeeping standardsServe as the primary point of contact for operators facing mechanical or process-related issues; coordinate with maintenance to ensure timely troubleshooting and preventive careConduct periodic tool and parts inventory checks to ensure readiness for maintenance or production needsReview and validate timekeeping records for hourly employees and submit for payroll processingOther duties as assigned by ManagementRequirements:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field preferredMinimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing supervisory role; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experienceCertification in Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt is highly desirableDemonstrated success in a lean manufacturing environment with a focus on continuous improvementStrong analytical and critical thinking abilities with a proactive, problem-solving mindsetAbility to work across multiple shifts or provide flexible availability as neededProficient in Microsoft Office and production data systemsCore Competencies:Effective Communication: Clear and proactive in verbal and written communications across all levelsBusiness Acumen: Understands production cost drivers, KPIs, and how operational efficiency ties to business goalsResults Orientation: Consistently meets or exceeds production and quality targetsCollaborative Leadership: Builds trust and collaboration across teams, encouraging high performanceInfluence & Accountability: Leads by example and effectively influences others to achieve resultsStrategic Thinking: Anticipates issues and opportunities, making informed decisions aligned with long-term goalsCustomer Focus: Prioritizes meeting customer expectations through quality output and timely deliveryDo you want to work with people who are dedicated to innovation and making the world a better place?
