About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Malone Healthcare to find a qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Simi Valley, California, 93064!

• Collect and analyze patient assessment data to determine diagnoses, care issues, and identify expected outcomes
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans using critical thinking and independent clinical judgment
• Coordinate and collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to deliver care in a safe and healing environment
• Delegate and coordinate duties among healthcare team members, supervising various levels of assigned nursing staff
• Provide health education and information to patients, families, and the treatment team; participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care
• Employ strategies to promote patient health and maintain a safe care environment in accordance with established standards

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
• AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS certification required
• AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS certification required
• AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS certification required
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Minimum of two years of recent ICU or acute care nursing experience
• EPIC electronic health record experience required
• Willingness to work one of two major holidays during the contract period

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Prior experience in an acute care facility setting

• Work in a well-established, award-winning healthcare environment serving the Ventura County community in Southern California
• Opportunity to join a collaborative ICU team with a consistent night shift schedule offering expected hours of 36-48 per week
