Mechanical Design EngineerRFA Engineering is an engineering service provider dedicated to delivering timely engineering support and expertise. We are seeking an experienced candidate to become an integral part of our engineering team. The selected candidate will work with an experienced engineering staff using state-of-the-art engineering tools & processes. This position will operate onsite at our customer's world-class engineering and manufacturing facility.This is a full-time position with a full benefit package listed below that includes opportunities for professional growth, direct hire by our customers, and additional opportunities within our own organization.The mechanical design engineer is responsible for creating and developing innovative mechanical design, drawing development, product validation, and quality-driven engineering practices to produce smart, healthy, and sustainable building technologies. They collaborate with cross-functional teams, including other engineers, designers, and stakeholders, to design, analyze, and optimize mechanical solutions that meet project requirements and industry standards. This role involves using computer-aided design (CAD) software and other tools to create sheet metal components, machined parts, and assemblies and detailed drawings.Responsibilities:Design of mechanical assemblies, parts, and systems for products such as thermostats, pressure controls, temperature controls, and pneumatic controls.Creates parts and assemblies using 3D CAD software (PTC CREO preferred).Creates mechanical drawings, Bill of Materials information, and other documentation for product release.Apply GD&T (ASME Y14.5) to ensure accurate and functional documentation.Work in a team-friendly environment innovating new products for our clients.Requirements:Bachelor's of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.2+ years of experience in mechanical design, product engineering, or quality engineeringProficiency in 3D CAD - (CREO preferred).Strong mechanical aptitude demonstrated through work experience or hobbiesExcellent communication both written and verbalDemonstrated ability to meet deadlines and commitmentsStrong analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skillsAbility to thrive in a team environmentDesired Attributes:Experience in 3-D Modeling Software (Creo, Solidworks, NX) preferredStrong understanding of GD&TExperience with parts data management systems such as Windchill PLM and SAP ERP (BOMs, part structures, change management).Ability to address quality issues, determine root cause and drive to a corrective actionVisa sponsorship is NOT available for this position.
