Registered Nurse - Cardiology Unit

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

12-hour night shifts from 1800 to 0600, with potential for occasional swing shifts from 1000 to 2200. Every other to every third weekend required.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide care in a dynamic Cardiology unit, managing patients who typically present with cardiac conditions. This role involves close collaboration with a healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Manage up to 20 patients per day, with patient influx expected during peak seasons.
• Collaborate with physicians, pharmacy, and nursing staff to coordinate care.
• Utilize Epic EMR for documentation and patient management.
• Execute appropriate nursing interventions within the established nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4.
• Perform lab draws and manage IV complications; strong IV skills required.
• Serve as charge nurse when assigned, overseeing daily operations and patient flow.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license required.
• Certifications: ACLS (AHA or ARC), BLS (AHA or ARC), NIHSS, PALS, TNCC.
