National Manager I, Power Generation & Transmission

General Responsibilities: We are seeking a resultsdriven National Manager I, Power Generation & Transmission for our Growth department. In this role you will lead the development, management, and growth of a portfolio of large, strategically important national clients within the Power Generation and Transmission market. Serve as a primary relationship leader responsible for understanding client business objectives, building long-term relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and connecting client needs with Terracon capabilities across service lines and geographies. You will develop and execute strategic account-growth plans designed to increase revenue, profitability, client penetration, and the breadth of services provided to assigned Power Generation and Transmission clients. Partner closely with operational, sector, service line, marketing, and national account leaders to align resources, develop major pursuits, strengthen client relationships, and create sustainable growth. Primary focus: Hands-on national account ownership combined with senior-level client development strategy, with an emphasis on expanding Terracon business with large, complex Power Generation and Transmission clients nationally. Essential Roles and Responsibilities: Strategic National Account Management Manage and grow a portfolio of large national Power Generation and Transmission client accounts. Develop a deep understanding of each client's organization, business strategy, priorities, project pipeline, decision makers, and evolving needs. Develop and implement strategic account plans with clear objectives for relationship development, opportunity generation, service expansion, revenue growth, and profitability. Build and maintain strong relationships with key client stakeholders at multiple organizational levels. Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned clients when appropriate and coordinate Terracon resources to meet client needs and position the company for future opportunities. Power Generation and Transmission Client Growth Develop and grow relationships with national clients across the Power Generation and Transmission market. Identify opportunities to increase Terracon's share of business with existing Power Generation and Transmission clients. Identify opportunities to introduce additional Terracon services, capabilities, markets, and geographic resources to assigned clients. Develop strategies to expand relationships beyond individual projects into broader, long-term client partnerships. Generate and qualify opportunities with existing and prospective strategic clients. Maintain visibility into client pipelines and use market and client intelligence to identify future opportunities. Build relationships with prospective Power Generation and Transmission clients that have the potential to become significant Terracon accounts. Major Client and Project Pursuits Lead or facilitate strategy development for significant client and project pursuits within the Power Generation and Transmission market. Coordinate internal stakeholders to develop compelling pursuit strategies and position Terracon in advance of formal opportunities. Partner with marketing, technical, operational, and leadership teams on proposals, presentations, and client interviews. Lead cross-selling, proposal development, and contract negotiations across multiple service lines, where appropriate. Enterprise Collaboration Build strong internal networks across Terracon to support national Power Generation and Transmission client growth. Partner with Operations Managers, National Directors, Department Managers, Program/Project Managers, service line leaders, sector leaders, and other internal stakeholders. Connect client needs and opportunities with the appropriate Terracon capabilities and resources. Facilitate collaboration across offices and business areas in support of national client strategies. Create internal alignment around strategic accounts, priority opportunities, and major pursuits. Strategic Client Development Leadership Bring client development strategy and discipline to assigned national Power Generation and Transmission accounts. Facilitate account strategy and major pursuit discussions and share client development best practices with internal account teams. Help strengthen client development capability among operational and technical professionals supporting assigned accounts. Collaborate with leadership on broader Power Generation and Transmission client development and marketing strategies. Represent Terracon within selected industry and professional organizations, government forums, and technical meetings or events relevant to the market. Risk, Safety, and Quality Develop an understanding of project-related risk and apply company risk policies when supporting accounts and pursuits. Support a safe work environment, follow applicable safety rules and guidelines, and promote pre-task planning. Promote continuous quality monitoring and improvement and engage appropriate technical review resources at project onset. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Construction Management, Earth Sciences, or a related field. 10 or more years of relevant experience in national account management, strategic client development, business development, or professional services is recommended for this role. Demonstrated experience developing and growing large, complex client relationships, preferably within the A/E/C or professional services industry. Demonstrated ability to identify new opportunities, develop account strategies, lead major pursuits, and expand business across service lines or geographies. Strong relationship-building, facilitation, presentation, negotiation, and communication skills. Ability to influence and coordinate teams across organizational and geographic boundaries. Experience using market, pipeline, client, and business intelligence to support strategic decision making. Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history may be required. Travel is required for client meetings, conferences, and internal meetings. Preferred Qualifications Experience developing, managing, or growing client relationships within the Power Generation and Transmission market. Professional designation such as CPSM, PE, PG, LEED AP, or another relevant credential.
