About the role: As a Principal Scientist - Computational Biologist at Immunai, you will be working in a fast-paced, external-facing research team to implement creative, state-of-the‑art computational approaches that maximize the strategic value of the Immunai platform across industry partnerships. Through this position, you will have the opportunity to work cross-functionally to deliver AI-powered improvements in clinical trial success rates and patient outcomes. Location: New York City, NY (Hybrid model) What will you do? Design and deploy innovative, state-of-the‑art analytic approaches , including computational pipelines and agentic workflows, that improve outcomes for industry partnerships. Standardize and operationalize reusable approaches that can be broadly adopted across projects to improve scalability, reproducibility, and scientific consistency. Leverage agentic workflows to amplify the team’s analytical speed, creativity, and automation, contributing to a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement. Establish blueprints for platform innovation and drive implementation with cross‑functional stakeholders. Requirements Required qualifications: PhD in computational biology, computer science, or related field, with 8+ years relevant experience including at least 3+ years of industry Strong coding abilities (Python required, R a plus) Creative and innovative mindset - AI‑first, with demonstrated track record of pushing scientific and technical boundaries Experience designing and implementing agentic workflows with appropriate human‑in‑the‑loop checkpoints Hands‑on experience with machine learning methodologies and the ability to adapt, utilize and extend internal modeling frameworks Demonstrated experience translating technical work to clear, high‑impact outcomes Expertise in distilling multi‑faced analyses into concrete conclusions with effective data visualizations and presentations. There is an opportunity to consider higher compensation above this range based on business need, candidate experience, and or skills.
