Controller - Fort Worth

Controller Fort Worth, TX - Onsite One of Vaco's private equity backed clients is looking to onboard a controller ASAP. They need someone that can be hands‑on and in the weeds with the ability to build out a roadmap and streamline processes. Key Responsibilities Lots of special projects -- cleaning up the Chart of Accounts, standardization work, not a ton of clean‑up Will assist with ERP migration Headcount evaluation – assessing the admins, determining how many people they might need to add Monthly reporting to board and lenders Internal Controls: Develop and implement effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy of financial reporting. Audit Support: Coordinate and assist with internal and external audits, including preparation of audit schedules and responses to auditor inquiries. Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve financial processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to the plant finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and professional development. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls. Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced MS Excel skills. Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
