Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Embark on an exciting assignment supporting students as a Sign Language Interpreter in a vibrant Nevada school community. This contract is ideal for dedicated professionals ready to work with elementary, and occasionally middle and high school students, providing essential access to classroom learning through expert sign language interpretation.

Your workday will primarily focus on elementary settings, with some itinerant responsibilities that may extend to nearby middle and high school campuses as needed. You'll play a pivotal role in the educational journey of 1-2 students, facilitating communication and fostering a supportive, inclusive environment.

Key Qualifications:

• National Certification in Sign Language Interpretation
• EIP score of 3.5 or above
• Ability to obtain required fingerprinting and clear a drug screening
• Experience in educational settings strongly preferred
• Flexible, collaborative mindset and effective communication skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver sign language interpretation services for assigned students in mainstream classrooms
• Collaborate with educators and support staff to ensure students have access to instruction and activities
• Adapt interpreting approaches to different age groups and learning situations
• Support various assignments as needed—primarily at the elementary level, with occasional middle or high school coverage
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines and district policies
