Position Traffic Engineer – Indianapolis Location Indianapolis, IN Job ID 2215 Number of Openings 1 Job Description Fishbeck is currently initiating a search for a talented, growth-oriented Traffic Engineer to join our Transportation Department in one of our Indiana offices. Primary Functions Conduct traffic impact studies, safety studies, signal optimization, and traffic forecasting. Perform intersection and roadway traffic modeling. Complete roundabout analysis and geometric evaluation. Develop INDOT plans utilizing Traffic Data. Prepare technical reports. Assist with traffic signal design and operations. Collaborate and interact with our clients including INDOT, local agencies, other consulting companies, and contractors. Support the development of project budgets and schedules. Contribute to technical proposal development. Manage tasks and mentor staff. Partner with transportation professionals across Fishbeck offices and within the industry on traffic engineering initiatives. Minimum Physical Requirements Occasionally exposed to light lifting, sitting, and walking. Perform duties both in the field and in an office setting. Ability to access and maneuver around project sites. Use a computer and communication equipment for documentation purposes. Capable of traveling to and from project locations. Must have visual acuity necessary to perform responsibilities. Desired Education Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering Desired Skills/Experience Minimum Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. Professional Engineer (PE) license. Experience with ITE Trip Generation Manual and traffic studies. Preferred knowledge of INDOT traffic standards and guidelines. Experience using: Highway capacity software Synchro Vissim Rodel MicroStation Strong computer proficiency and verbal communication skills (required) What We Offer Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
