Training Supervisor

Training SupervisorAs a Training Supervisor you will be responsible for improving the productivity of the Grand Forks Plant's employees through the deployment of effective training initiatives and programs. Plans, develops and implements strategy for training and development, establishes and maintains appropriate systems for measuring necessary aspects of training and development programs. Engages all employees in continuous improvement/lean initiatives and fosters a positive work environment while developing a culture of ownership and accountability.Schedule: Primary work schedule is 1st shift, Monday-Friday, with understanding the facility is a 24/7 mfg operationsWork Location: 1801 N 36th St, Grand Forks, NDBenefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) with match, STD/LTD/AD&D/Life, HSA, FSA, EAP, Hospital indemnity, Accident Insurance, Identity and Fraud Protection Plan, Legal, and Critical Illness.Salary, based on experience and other qualifications: $73k - $108k annually with additional bonus potentialRoles & Responsibilities:Assess training needs in consultation with department supervisors and the Continuous Improvement Manager; create and execute learning solutionsInterface with OEM's and external technical resourcesDesign and develop, engaging training programs which provide content necessary to meet training and business needs of the organizationAssist in establishing and documenting base operating skills for employees to effectively and efficiently onboard all new employees into the plantMaintain training program and review annually for effectivenessCollaborate with functional areas across the Plant to increase information sharing, performance support and training delivery skills – Train-the-TrainerCoordinate/Support training programs and initiatives that support the site's CI/lean manufacturing goalsDevelop and Manage positional handbookFlexible to work off-shifts as neededOversee Standard Work and Training Checklist developmentCoordinate and/or support the delivery of training programsEnsure all training activities and materials comply with relevant Plant procedures, including health and safety, quality and foods safetyQualifications and Requirements:Minimum of 2-3 years of training delivery and content development requiredKnowledge of lean manufacturing and practical experience in manufacturing environment preferredStrong leadership with the ability to influence a wide range of people from the shop floor to senior managementKnowledge of learning tools and how they can be applied to business challengesDrives initiatives through to completion on time and on budget – results drivenAn effective teacher and trainer to which employees respond positivelyExperience in developing training content with strong written and verbal communication skillsStrong computer skills with Microsoft Office applications and ability to learn new systems quicklyStrong analytical, planning, organizational, and time management skillsHighly motivated self-starter and ability to work independentlyEEO Statement:Winland Foods seeks to recruit, develop, and retain the most talented people from a diverse candidate pool, and as a global company we believe our success is enhanced by fostering equity and inclusion in the workplace.
