Senior Recruiter (Contract)

Schedule : Hybrid | Monday - Friday

Location : Downtown Chicago, Illinois

Pay : $40 - $45/hour, depending on experience

Duration : Long-term Contract

Our client is hiring a Senior Recruiter to support hiring across the whole organization. The role has an immediate start date and is an open-ended contract, with on-site presence required 3 days a week. Are you someone who can step in quickly, run searches independently, and manage hiring managers without needing daily direction? The ideal candidate is comfortable joining a team mid-process and working with what’s already in place.

What you’ll do

You’ll manage recruitment and talent acquisition for open requisitions, including:

• Owning full-cycle recruiting from intake call to offer for both corporate and G&A functions including Finance, HR, Legal, Operations, Marketing, and Administrative roles
• Writing job posts and outreach messages
• Sourcing candidates on LinkedIn, job boards, databases, and referrals
• Screening candidates and presenting shortlists to hiring managers
• Managing interview processes, feedback, and candidate communication
• Tracking pipeline activity and keeping data clean in the ATS
• Helping the team move quickly while keeping candidate experience clear and respectful

What we’re looking for

• 5+ years’ recruitment experience. Corporate, in-house recruiting experience preferred.
• Experience hiring for all levels including director level.
• Ability to manage 10+ live roles at once
• Strong sourcing skills, not only applicant review
• Experience working directly with hiring managers
• Clear written communication with candidates
• Comfortable joining a team mid-process and improving what’s already in place
• Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
• Public Health/Healthcare recruiting experience a plus!
