Job Title: Registered Nurse

Duration: Short term Shift: 3rd 12-hour nights, float as needed, every other weekend Hours per Shift: 36

Experience: Minimum years of experience required: Clinical competence and experience in the care and management of target patient populations specific to area of employment.

License: Requires current state Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the Nurse Licensure Compact.

Certifications: American Heart Association Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider or an approved equivalent.

Must-Have: Clinical competence, patient care management, nursing theory, nursing practice.

Description: The Registered Nurse is a practitioner responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for an identified group of patients in an inpatient environment. This individual demonstrates competency in the delivery of care to a primarily adult population. The Staff RN job description incorporates essential functions from the Nursing: Scope and Standards of Practice. Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice is required. An Associate's degree in nursing is required. A Bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred.
