Details Hospital-based Med Specialty Step Down unit Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week) Med/Surg and Step Down patient population with health conditions ranging from simple to complex ICU experience is preferred but not required 13-week contract Requirements Active OK RN license or multistate Compact (eNLC) RN license required Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required Med/Surg or Step Down experience required Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible Responsibilities Assess and monitor patients, administer medications, initiate and monitor IV infusions and blood products, document nursing interventions, and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams. Educate patients and families on care plans, hospital procedures, and discharge planning, as well as delegate tasks to support staff. Compliance deadlines are strictly enforced — onboarding requirements including drug screens, background checks, and medical requirements must be initiated immediately upon offer acceptance. Full DOB and full SSN are required for consideration. Additional Information Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible for a new contract; prior travelers may only extend once, for a maximum of 26 total weeks. Pay & Benefits Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
