Contract description: We are seeking a Java Backend Developer - Contractor for subject matter expertise. Develop and maintain robust backend services using Java and the Spring ecosystem, ensuring high performance and responsiveness. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and integrate APIs and microservices. Utilize messaging systems like Kafka to facilitate real-time data processing and communication between services. Write and maintain unit tests using JUnit and mocking frameworks to ensure code quality and reliability. Deploy and manage applications in AWS Cloud, leveraging cloud services to enhance scalability and performance.

Qualifications: 3–5 years of hands-on backend development experience in Java. Strong command over Core Java and Object-Oriented Programming principles. Practical experience with the Spring ecosystem, including Spring Boot and Spring Core. Proficiency in JPA/Hibernate and relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL. Familiarity with AWS Cloud technology and experience in writing unit tests with frameworks like Mockito or WireMock. Nice to Have: Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or other containerization/orchestration tools. Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes.
