Registered Nurse Contract OpportunityAn exciting contract opportunity is open for a Registered Nurse seeking to make a lasting difference in a school environment. This role will be dedicated to supporting a medically fragile student on a 1:1 basis for the duration of the assignment. The position spans the school year and offers up to 37.5 hours per week, though actual hours may vary based on the student's attendance.In this integral role, your clinical expertise and compassion will drive the quality of care and comfort for a student requiring comprehensive support. You will be onsite, collaborating with educators and providing daily medical interventions to enable the student's participation in school.Qualifications & BackgroundActive Registered Nurse license for GeorgiaProfessional school nursing experience preferredProven ability to work independently with medically fragile childrenSkilled with wheelchair transfers, feeding tubes, oxygen administration, and liftingConfident in catheter care and routine changes (every 3 hours)Comfortable supporting students with spina bifida, head shunt, hydrocephalus, and hip instabilityMust be able to attend in-person interviews (no exceptions)Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver direct 1:1 nursing care for a student throughout the school dayMonitor and document health status and interventionsManage medical devices and equipment safely (feed tube, oxygen, etc.)Support student mobility and provide physical assistance as neededCommunicate effectively with school staff and student familiesRespond calmly and rapidly to health or mobility issuesThis rewarding contract role allows you to create a positive impact in a student's daily life while working within a supportive academic setting.
