Hiring Department Department of Psychiatry Job Description The Center for Child Well-Being, housed within the Department ofPsychiatry at the University of Missouri School of Medicine, seeksa licensed behavioral health clinical consultant to supportchildren involved with the Department of Social Services. The clinical consultant builds collaborative relationships withChildren's Division staff, caregivers, behavioral health providers,and other professionals involved in a child's care to help childrenaccess appropriate services. This role works across systems togather and clarify relevant behavioral health information, identifyneeds and barriers to care, connect youth and their care teams withappropriate resources, and facilitate communication andcoordination among those involved in the child's care to supportsuccessful outcomes. The clinical consultant also participates in multidisciplinaryworkgroups and other collaborative initiatives focused onstrengthening behavioral health services and improving outcomes forchildren. The ideal candidate will have exceptional communicationand relationship-building skills, sound clinical judgment, strongorganizational abilities, and the capability to navigate complexbehavioral health and child welfare systems while maintaining astrengths-based, trauma-informed approach. Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Gather and review relevant behavioral and physical healthinformation to understand each child's needs, current services,gaps in care, and barriers to accessing appropriate services. Identify and recommend appropriate behavioral health andcommunity-based services and resources based on the individualneeds of the child. Provide consultation and facilitate communication amongChildren's Division staff, caregivers, providers, and otherprofessionals involved in the child's care to support coordinatedservices and positive outcomes. Build and maintain collaborative relationships with Children'sDivision staff, caregivers, contracted partners, providers, andother professionals across Missouri's child welfare and behavioralhealth systems. Maintain current knowledge of Missouri's child welfare,behavioral health, and community resource systems to provideinformed consultation and resource recommendations. Communicate relevant health information, identified needs,service options, and recommendations to care teams, caregivers, andprogram partners in a clear, timely, and professional manner. Document consultations, care coordination activities,communications, referrals, resources, and recommendations in REDCapand other applicable data systems, ensuring records are timely,accurate, and complete. Monitor recurring barriers to care, service gaps, emergingtrends, and systemic concerns and communicate findings andrecommendations to program leadership and collaborativepartners. Participate in and support the planning and facilitation ofBehavioral Health Workgroup, Missouri Trauma Roundtable, BBImeetings, and other multidisciplinary workgroups and collaborativeinitiatives. Prepare and contribute to quarterly reports, including the reviewand compilation of relevant case information. Apply a trauma-informed approach in all interactions withchildren, families, Children's Division staff, providers, and othermembers of the child's care team. Perform other duties as assigned in support of program andorganizational objectives. Shift Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Occasional nights and weekends Minimum Qualifications Master's degree in psychology, counseling, marriage and familytherapy, or social work and relevant licensure (or eligible to belicensed within 12 months) within the State of Missouri. Preferred Qualifications Education: Master’s degree in social work Credentials: LCSW or LMSW Years of Experience: 5 Niche Professional Interests: Behavioral Health Systems ofCare Anticipated Hiring Range Salary Range: $52,000 - $56,000 annually for .80 FTE, or $65,000 -$70,000 for 1.0 FTE Grade: GGS - 010 University Title: COUNS HLTH/WELFARE/WELLNESS SR Internal applicants can determine their university title byaccessing the Talent Profile tile in myHR.
