Online Instructor of Social Work (UPDATED)

Position Summary Florida Atlantic University’s Phyllis and Harvey Sandler School of Social Work invites applications for a full-time Instructor position within its Bachelor of Social Work (BSW), Master of Social Work (MSW), and Doctor of Social Work (DSW) programs. This 12-month, non‑tenure‑track faculty appointment is designed for an educator devoted to excellence in teaching, student engagement, and professional service, primarily through online instruction in the MSW program and supporting instructional needs across campus. Primary Responsibilities Teach undergraduate and graduate social work courses across face‑to‑face, hybrid, and online learning environments. Deliver high‑quality instruction on the Boca Raton and Davie campuses and via the School’s online programs. Develop, revise, and maintain course materials, syllabi, assignments, and instructional activities that align with CSWE accreditation standards and university policies. Support student learning, academic success, and professional development through mentoring, advising, and timely communication. Contribute to School, College, and university service activities, including committee participation, faculty meetings, recruitment events, and community engagement initiatives. Collaborate with faculty, staff, and practicum education teams to support student placement, retention, and experiential learning opportunities. Minimum Qualifications Master of Social Work (MSW) from a CSWE‑accredited program. Minimum of two years of post‑MSW professional experience. Experience teaching online in higher education. Preferred Qualifications Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the State of Florida. Additional Information Salary: Competitive. College or Department: School of Social Work.
