X-Ray to Mammography/MRI/CT Technologist Location: Cohoes, NY, US. Salary: $36.00 to $40.00 hourly. Full‑time. Role Overview We are seeking experienced and licensed radiology technologists with a strong desire to cross‑train in mammography, MRI or CT. The successful candidate will receive hands‑on training and, once licensed, will perform all outpatient exams and procedures independently. Requirements A current New York State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology and ARRT (R) certification. BLS certification issued through the American Heart Association. Passion and ability to learn new skills in advanced radiology procedures such as MRI, CT, tomosynthesis, biopsies, and mammographic procedures. Resilience, adaptability and compassion. A calm and friendly demeanor, delivering a professional and positive healthcare experience. Able to act quickly and calmly in emergent situations. Initial Training Complete a 40‑hour initial Mammography, MRI or CT training course webinar plus an additional 8 hours of digital (3D) mammography training (tuition paid by Rezolut). Pass the New York State Mammography Licensing Exam (exam cost covered by Rezolut). Maintain a 40‑hour work week performing XR, MRI, CT or mammographic procedures. Duties and Responsibilities Mammography Technologist Perform high‑quality digital mammography exams. Monitor patients’ well‑being during exams and take appropriate action if discomfort or medical problems arise. Guide patients with care and compassion and address their questions and concerns during the exam. Respond to physician needs/questions and assist radiologists with patient procedures when necessary. Participate in projects and/or meetings, and complete other tasks assigned by management. MRI Technologist Operate closed and open MRI scanners. Interpret physician instructions, select software options and imaging parameters for MRI exams. View images during exams, report anomalies to radiologists and document them. Send images to PACS and archive images; print CDs. Ensure comparison images are available for reading physicians. Communicate effectively with radiologists to determine exam protocols. Maintain sensitivity to physical and psychological needs of patients. Monitor and communicate with patients throughout the MR exam. Document incidents at the facility with Center Director. Screen patients for precautions/contraindications prior to entering the magnetic field, and research all implants and devices. Perform daily QA for each magnet and maintain patient log with clinical information. Perform injections as needed. CT Technologist Perform general CT exams in a timely manner. Position patients and answer any procedure questions. Ensure correct dose of radiomnuclides and initiate IV lines if needed. Monitor patient discomfort during the procedure. Review images for quality. Accurately document the procedure and update patient records. Inject IV contrast and be willing to receive additional training.
