Senior Revenue Accountant Location: Northbrook, IL Job Summary Responsible for preparing consolidated financial statements and reports with a primary focus on revenue recognition and reporting. Major Responsibilities Support month‑end close activities—including preparation of monthly journal entries, consolidation, and analysis in the area of revenue recognition. Prepare and review sales transactions, analyses, account balances and maintain supporting documentation. Review sales legal agreements to support proper revenue recognition. Prepare and review exhibits and commentary for reports issued to management, outside directors, third parties, and government agencies. Respond to ad‑hoc financial information requests and analysis. Identify trends and variances for unusual items and assist with year‑end activities such as audit inquiries. Evaluate and recommend improvements to accounting procedures and assess cross‑departmental impacts. Collaborate with departments (Supply Chain, Sales, Market Research, Legal, IT, Finance) to understand financial implications of transactions. Provide guidance to other accounting staff and operational team members. Qualifications B.S. in Accounting. 3‑5 years of accounting experience; CPA preferred. Ability to understand and follow detailed instructions. Understanding of established departmental processes and internal controls, including ability to identify deficiencies. Compensation & Benefits Base salary typically $72,900–$96,200. Additional incentive program available. Health, dental, and vision benefits.
