Specialty Backup Available: Anesthesiology, General Surgery, Pediatrics, OB/GYN

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
Credentialing Timeline: Approximately 10 days from completed application

REQUIRED PROCEDURES
All Obstetrics and Gynecology procedures, including deliveries, C-sections, and gynecologic surgeries (specifics TBD).
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Board: Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology or Board Eligible within 5 years
Licenses: Active California medical license
DEA: Active DEA certification
Experience: Minimum 100 gynecological surgical procedures in the past two years; completion of ACGME- or AOA-accredited OB/GYN residency

Duties & Responsibilities

Provide inpatient obstetric and gynecologic care, including vaginal deliveries and C-sections.
Cover emergency department consults for OB/GYN conditions.
Participate in 24-hour call coverage (8a-8a) for the Family Birthing Center.
Collaborate with anesthesiology, pediatrics, and surgical backup as needed.
Manage patient admissions, rounding, and discharge for obstetric patients.
