This position requires the nurse to act as charge, administer medications, and perform wound care. The facility operates with a 26-bed capacity. Common patient diagnoses include heart disease, diabetes, and dementia. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:10 during the day and 1:19 at night. There is no clinical involvement required, and the facility does not utilize IVs or titratable drips. Registered Nurses are not required to read telemetry strips or attend team conferences. Physicians are available by phone on-call after hours. An interdisciplinary team is not present, as only long-term care is provided. Physical therapy is available as needed, with a designated social worker on site. Oxygen therapy equipment includes concentrators and portable concentrators. The pharmacy operates off-site with a medication dispensing system. There are no specific dress code requirements, but staff must be clean and presentable. Candidates should be aware of weekend and holiday work requirements. Floating or call requirements are not applicable.
