As an Armed Front Desk Officer at a government location, you will serve as a professional, welcoming presence while supporting access control, visitor screening, badge procedures, and incident reporting. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTime Tue 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM Wed 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM Thur 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and members of the public at a government office reception area by following site-specific procedures and access protocols. Greet visitors, verify identification and appointment information as directed, issue visitor credentials, and direct individuals to appropriate offices or waiting areas. Monitor entry activity and access points, maintain visitor logs and required documentation, and report unusual activity or access concerns to appropriate personnel. Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and emergency situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while following established procedures. Assist with maintaining an orderly front desk environment and communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership. Minimum Requirements: At least one year of security-related experience is required. An armed guard card or license is required. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or batons is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
