Sales Executive

Job Description

The Sales Executive will lead a high-performing team of six field-based Account Executives selling ADP's Comprehensive Services solution to small business owners throughout the San Diego market. This is a leadership-focused role with no individual sales responsibility, where success is measured by driving team performance, coaching reps, and achieving overall team quota attainment. The team is established and performing well, having exceeded plan last year at approximately 105% attainment, making this an excellent opportunity for a proven sales leader to step into a successful organization. The position is based out of ADP's Mission Valley office and requires regular time in the field with sales representatives, along with in-office collaboration. Reporting to the VP, this leader will be responsible for recruiting, developing, motivating, and retaining top sales talent while ensuring execution of sales strategy and growth initiatives.

Skills and Requirements

• 3-5+ years of leadership experience managing a team of Account Executives or B2B sales professionals

• Experience leading field-based sales teams and coaching representatives in customer-facing environments

• Proven success driving new business acquisition and achieving team sales goals

• Business-to-business (B2B) sales background with a track record of winning new clients and managing territory performance

• Strong coaching, leadership, communication, and presentation skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders in a fast-paced sales environment

• Experience utilizing CRM platforms and sales management systems (Salesforce preferred)

• Ability to work primarily from the office and in the field (1 remote day per week)

• Must reside within commutable distance of San Diego, CA (no relocation assistance available) - Experience selling or leading teams within HCM, HR Services, Payroll, SaaS, Technology, Staffing, Uniform Services, or Facility Services industries

• Experience managing local teams of Account Executives within the same geographic market

• Previous leadership experience overseeing high-performing sales organizations

• Prior experience managing teams selling comprehensive HR, payroll, benefits, or workforce management solutions
