PAs perform exercise and tilt table testing, assist in electrophysiologic studies performed in the EP laboratory/OR, including insertion of temporary pacing catheters and intracardiac mapping, analysis of recordings made during electrophysiologic studies, orientation of the cardiology fellows to electrophysiologic studies, perform initial and follow-up history and physical exams on arrhythmia evaluation (EKGs, carotid sinus massage). The PAs perform initial and follow-up evaluations of pacemaker and ICD patients and evaluation post-operative wounds and also participate in the recruitment/care of patients in research protocols. Requirements: High School Diploma or GED required Coverage for both inpatient and outpatient sites of service as operationally necessary 3 years of clerical experience involving patient billing or an equivalent combination of training and experience Certified by the National Commission of the Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA Physician Assistant License by New York State Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program Montefiore Medical Center is an equal employment opportunity employer.
