Senior Project Manager – Commercial Construction (Jacksonville Market)

Quality “Plus” Services is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to support and expand our growing presence in the Jacksonville commercial and light industrial construction market.

This role is ideal for a construction professional with strong Jacksonville-area experience and established relationships with local subcontractors, vendors, and industry partners. The successful candidate will manage projects from award through closeout while helping strengthen our presence in the local commercial construction community.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage multiple commercial and light industrial construction projects from award through closeout
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and resource plans
• Lead project kickoff meetings and ongoing client coordination meetings
• Manage subcontractors, vendors, procurement activities, and project documentation
• Coordinate construction activities in active and occupied facilities with minimal disruption to operations
• Review contracts, drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and change orders
• Monitor project profitability, performance, and resource allocation
• Work closely with field supervision to ensure quality, safety, and schedule compliance
• Support estimating, budgeting, and preconstruction efforts as needed
• Build and maintain strong client relationships that generate repeat business opportunities
• Assist in identifying and developing local subcontractor and vendor partnerships

Preferred Project Experience

Candidates should have direct project management experience in one or more of the following environments:

• Healthcare facilities and hospitals
• K-12 schools and higher education campuses
• Manufacturing and industrial facilities
• Food and beverage processing plants
• Distribution centers and warehouses
• Municipal and government facilities
• Commercial office renovations and tenant improvement projects

Experience managing projects involving:

• Concrete and civil improvements
• Mechanical and piping systems
• Facility renovations and upgrades
• Industrial maintenance projects
• Structural repairs and upgrades
• Coatings and containment systems

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Project Management experience in commercial, institutional, or industrial construction
• Proven success managing projects ranging from $250K to $10M+
• Experience working in active or occupied facilities where maintaining ongoing operations was critical
• Strong understanding of budgeting, scheduling, contract administration, procurement, and change management
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with owners, facility managers, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors
• Experience working for a commercial general contractor strongly preferred

Highly Preferred

• Experience managing projects in the Jacksonville or North Florida market
• Established relationships with local subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and construction partners
• Commercial renovation and tenant improvement experience
• Light industrial construction experience
• Experience supporting estimating and preconstruction efforts

Software & Technical Skills

Proficiency in:

• Accubid
• Procore
• Microsoft Project
• Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred:

• Bluebeam
• Other construction management or estimating platforms
