Certified Surgical Technologist | PRN

PRN Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Location: Dallas, TX. Responsibilities Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, set up and maintain a sterile field for minor and major surgical procedures applying special knowledge of asepsis. Apply knowledge of specialized instruments, equipment, and supplies utilized in the Operating Room. Organize instruments, equipment, and supplies for easy access and maximum efficiency. Participate in a rotational call system as needed to provide for continuous availability of patient services. Follow appropriate guidelines for setting up sterile field and instruments for designated procedures. Maintain current knowledge of procedures performed in the Operating Room. Re‑stock Operating Room supplies as caseload permits. Assist circulating nurse in maintenance of physician preference cards. Required Skills High school graduate or equivalent. Minimum of one year of previous Operating Room CST experience is required. CST certification, required. Current BLS required. One year of Total Joint, Complex Spine, and Arthroscopy experience, preferred.
