Gastroenterologist

Gastroenterologist Erie, PA

We are seeking full-time gastroenterologists to join a well-established and growing practice. This team includes physicians, advanced practice providers, and a large support staff delivering comprehensive care for digestive disorders in patients ages 12 and older. The role offers access to advanced technology, including state-of-the-art endoscopy equipment in an ASGE Center of Excellence, and a broad range of procedures. Physicians will primarily focus on inpatient care and procedures, with some outpatient responsibilities, within a collaborative and innovation-driven environment.

Shift / Schedule

• Full-time (FTE 1.0 per position; 2 positions available)
• Approximately 80% inpatient/procedures and 20% office-based care
• Rotating call schedule:
• 1 week out of every 56 weeks
• Call runs Monday 8:00 AM to the following Monday 8:00 AM
• Includes coverage for 2 nights during the call week

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage gastrointestinal and digestive disorders in adult and adolescent patients (12+)
• Perform a wide range of GI procedures including colonoscopy, EGD, ERCP (preferred), capsule endoscopy, and other advanced therapies
• Provide both inpatient and outpatient care, with a focus on procedural work
• Utilize advanced endoscopic technology for diagnosis and treatment
• Collaborate with physicians, APPs, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care
• Participate in on-call rotation and hospital coverage responsibilities
• Maintain high standards of patient-centered, compassionate, and quality care
• Stay current with evolving techniques and procedures in gastroenterology

Requirements

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Gastroenterology (American or Canadian Board)
• Ability to obtain an unrestricted Pennsylvania medical license
• DEA certification required
• Broad gastroenterology skill set with willingness to learn and adopt new techniques
• ERCP experience preferred (not required; mentorship available)
• Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to patient-centered care
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-based environment
