This role is responsible for running open order reports, updating supplier commit dates, tracking future deliveries, and maintaining accurate delivery information in reports. The Material Control Specialist works with suppliers to obtain purchase order acknowledgements, monitors move-in messages, and escalates shortages, delays, or other supply issues to the buyer as needed. This position helps ensure timely communication, accurate order status, and smooth material flow through close coordination with suppliers and internal stakeholders**Key Responsibilities:*** Inventory Management: Manage and oversee the tracking and maintenance of inventory levels to ensure the availability of necessary materials.* Procurement Coordination: Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure on time delivery of materials per our schedule.* Reporting and Analysis: Generate and analyze production reports to track performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and provide actionable insights for informed decision making.* Schedule Adherence: Identify and resolve production constraints and delays. Monitor production progress and ensure schedules are followed.* Coordination and Communication: Serve as a liaison between various departments, including manufacturing, engineering, procurement, and logistics to facilitate smooth workflow and resolve any production related issues.**Key Skills:*** Inventory Management: Effectively oversees and maintains accurate inventory levels to ensure the availability of materials when needed.* Attention to Detail: Demonstrates meticulous attention to detail in tracking and documenting material movements and transactions.* Organizational Skills: Organizes and manages multiple tasks and responsibilities efficiently to maintain smooth operations.* Communication Skills: Communicates clearly and effectively with team members, suppliers, and other stakeholders to facilitate coordination.* Analytical Skills: Analyzes data and inventory reports to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.* Technical Proficiency: Utilizes inventory management software and other relevant technologies proficiently to manage material control processes.* Problem Solving: Identifies and resolves issues related to material shortages, excesses, or discrepancies promptly and effectively.* Time Management: Prioritizes tasks and manages time efficiently to meet deadlines and maintain workflow continuity.* Compliance Knowledge: Ensures all material control activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.* Teamwork: Collaborates effectively with team members and other departments to achieve common goals and enhance overall performance.This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
