Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide quality nursing care to patients, ensuring respect for patient rights and dignity. The LPN will be a comprehensive part of the nursing team, applying age-specific considerations and cultural diversity to patient care. This position may involve working alongside Health Aides to maintain room inventory and assist in the ordering of medical supplies.

Responsibilities also include screening phone calls after hours and providing assistance in the clinic when necessary. The successful candidate will support the mission of the Yukon Kuskokwim Health Corporation and provide care to patients from birth through elderly stages.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality nursing care to all patients.
• Collaborate with Health Aides to ensure rooms are stocked and check-lists are completed.
• Assist in ordering medical supplies as needed.
• Screen incoming calls and provide telephonic assistance after hours.
• Apply age-specific considerations and support cultural diversity in patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate from an accredited school for LPNs or LVNs.
• Must be licensed as an LPN in the State of Alaska in good standing.
• Current CPR certification (BCLS) required.
• New graduates are accepted; preferred one year of hospital experience.
• IV certification course preferred.
• Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certification preferred.

Schedule

This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, working an average of 32 hours per week with a focus on patient care during the assigned shifts.
