About the Position

Job Title: Labor & Delivery RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (18:00 - 06:30) Experience: 2 years required License: Valid state license required Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, BLS, NRPCertifications Preferred: AWHONN Intermediate Must-Have: Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced Fetal Monitoring experience required E/O weekend required 1st time travelers okay Description: Labor & Delivery RN for a community hospital. Two years of experience required. Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced Fetal Monitoring experience required. Responsibilities include assisting with sterile speculum exams, labor and delivery, and circulating for C-sections. Successful candidates will perform assessments including reflex checks, edema assessment, and clonus. IV start and management, use of infusion pumps, and recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns are essential duties. Provide patient support for breastfeeding and lactation. Experience with postpartum hemorrhage management, pregnancy-induced hypertension, and multiple births is necessary. Knowledge of neonatal resuscitation and infant identification is expected. Familiarity with charting systems and patient care delivery models is preferred. Must demonstrate effective communication and collaboration skills. Participation in interdisciplinary support teams is expected. Candidates must be adaptable to a dynamic work environment.
