Design Engineer

NPD Design Engineer Location: Chandler, AZ (Onsite) Responsibilities The NPD Design Engineer will serve as a responsible engineer across multiple new product development programs, owning technical execution from concept through qualification and production support. Own and manage multiple concurrent engineering programs within a fast‑paced NPD environment Develop and execute engineering plans aligned to customer requirements and program timelines Support customer meetings and interpret customer specifications and develop compliance matrices Perform design analysis including structural, reliability, and statistical evaluation, as well as present technical information including PDRs and CDRs Create and maintain engineering documentation, drawings, and technical data packages Support prototype/pathfinder development with hands‑on troubleshooting Collaborate cross‑functionally with manufacturing, test, quality, and program management teams Support qualification testing, failure analysis, and production launch activities Contribute to continuous improvement, cost reduction, and design for manufacturability Design with automation and scalability in mind Qualifications Working knowledge of DOE, FMEA, and DFMA (required) Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar CAD software (required) Experience with FEA tools (ANSYS, SolidWorks Simulation) strongly preferred Ability to interpret customer specifications and technical requirements Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, including statistical analysis GD&T knowledge preferred Aerospace, defense, or related industry experience preferred Strong communication and collaboration skills Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience 2+ years of experience required;5+ years preferred ITAR: This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
