Will Call / Counter Sales Customer Service Representative

Job Summary

We are seeking a Will Call / Counter Sales Customer Service Representative to provide excellent customer service to customers picking up orders and purchasing safety products. This position will work directly with customers at the counter, assist with product selection, process orders, and coordinate with the warehouse to ensure orders are prepared accurately and efficiently.

The ideal candidate will have strong customer service and communication skills, be comfortable working in a fast-paced counter sales environment, and have an interest in industrial, safety, PPE, or related products.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist customers at the Will Call/counter area in a professional and friendly manner.
• Assist customers with product questions, selections, availability, and pricing.
• Process customer orders, pickups, returns, and exchanges accurately.
• Pull up and verify customer orders for Will Call pickup.
• Coordinate with warehouse personnel to ensure orders are ready and accurate.
• Enter orders and customer information into the computer system.
• Provide product information and recommend appropriate products based on customer needs.
• Assist with sales of safety equipment, PPE, workwear, footwear, and related industrial products.
• Answer customer questions by phone and in person.
• Process payments and assist with invoices or other order-related documentation as needed.
• Maintain accurate customer and order records.
• Resolve customer concerns and escalate issues when necessary.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional counter/customer service area.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Previous customer service, counter sales, retail, inside sales, or order entry experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable working directly with customers in person and over the phone.
• Basic computer and data entry skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when processing orders.
• Ability to learn product information and make appropriate recommendations.
• Ability to work effectively with warehouse and sales teams.
• Professional, dependable, and customer-focused attitude.

Experience in any of the following is a plus:

• Industrial or safety supply
• PPE or safety equipment
• Parts counter
• Hardware or industrial distribution
• Warehouse/customer service
• Counter sales
• Order fulfillment or Will Call
• Inside sales
• Construction or industrial products

Location: La Porte, TX 77571
Position Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, Day Shift
Pay Rate: $19/hr
