Physical Therapist Assistant

Schedule: Days M-F 8-5

Assignment Details:

• Guaranteed Hours: 32
• Contract Weeks: 26

Requirements:

• Graduated from a Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE)-accredited physical therapy assistant education program.
• Must be licensed in good standing in the state as a Physical Therapist Assistant or have all appropriate paperwork completed to work as a Student Physical Therapist Assistant post-graduation.
• Current BLS certification.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Direct, modify, and administer physical therapy modalities of treatment as supervised by the Physical Therapist.
• Administer treatments and physical agents after the Physical Therapist has evaluated the patient.
• Assist with the restoration of patient functioning to prevent disability following injury, disease, or physical disability.
• Help patients reach their maximum performance and level of functioning while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities.
• Participate in operational aspects of the department and maintain performance improvement activities.
