This position is 100% remote, allowing for flexibility while working with school-age populations. Our team operates in a collaborative virtual environment where you will engage with educators, parents, and other healthcare professionals to ensure students receive holistic and integrated care. As part of a devoted team, you will work closely with various stakeholders to support students academically and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities\n

  • Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments through virtual interviews, observations, and analysis of educational and medical records to evaluate the emotional, social, and environmental factors influencing each student's well-being.

  • Provide one-on-one counseling and support to students, addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, and behavioral challenges, while also working with their families to foster understanding and collaboration.
  • \n
  • Collaborate with teachers, school administrators, and healthcare professionals to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) that incorporate the psychosocial needs of students.
  • \n
  • Facilitate access to essential community resources, such as mental health services, support groups, and vocational training programs, to support students in achieving their life goals.
  • \n
  • Educate both students and their families about available community resources and post-rehabilitation services to aid in their overall transition and success.
  • \n
  • Engage in discharge planning for students transitioning from various care settings, ensuring continuity of support during their reintegration into school.
  • \n
Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses on supporting school-aged children facing emotional and behavioral challenges that impact their educational performance. By working closely with students and their families, you will address a spectrum of issues, including adjustment disorders, trauma, social skills deficits, and mental health crises, tailoring your approach to meet each student’s unique needs.

Qualifications\n

  • A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
  • \n
  • Active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Connecticut.
  • \n
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop rapport and trust with students and families from diverse backgrounds.
  • \n
  • A sound understanding of childhood and adolescent development, particularly relating to mental health and educational challenges.
  • \n
Preferred Experience\n
    \n
  • Previous experience providing mental health services in educational or rehabilitation settings.
  • \n
  • Familiarity with the special education process and IEP development.
  • \n
  • Experience applying evidence-based practices in child therapy and counseling.
  • \n
  • Expertise in crisis intervention and grief counseling.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from USD 75,000 to 100,000 per year , commensurate with experience, plus a competitive bonus structure. Additional benefits include:
