Responsibilities
- Assess patient's respiratory status before, after, and during procedures involving sedation.
- Able to manage the airway for patients in the inpatient/outpatient setting.
- Consider the impact of interventions on the patient's condition.
- Share information about the patient through documentation and oral communication with other disciplines.
- Document all cares per standard of care of the facility.
- Able to manage airway of all patients as needed especially for sedative procedures.
- Able to administer respiratory meds or gases as needed.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist or Licensed Respiratory Therapist
- Basic Life Support Certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification
- Pediatric advanced cardiac life support
- Accredited Program, minimum of 1 year experience in hospital setting
