Network Technician

Field Network Technician (Traveling) *Location:* St. Clairsville, OH (Travel Required) Help Modernize Critical Field Infrastructure Our client is seeking a *Field Network Technician* to support networking operations across field locations in and around *St. Clairsville, Ohio*. This is a highly visible, hands‑on role responsible for installing, maintaining, and upgrading networking equipment that supports critical operational infrastructure. If you enjoy working in the field, solving real‑world connectivity challenges, and traveling to a variety of locations, this is an excellent opportunity to make an immediate impact. This position is initially structured as a contract engagement with strong potential to convert to a full‑time employee based on project success and business needs. What You'll Be Doing Install, configure, and maintain networking equipment at remote field locations. Support network modernization initiatives, including equipment replacement and technology upgrade projects. Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues to ensure operational continuity. Coordinate with operations teams to schedule outages, maintenance activities, and field deployments. Provide on‑site technical support to field personnel. Assist users with software applications used to connect with operational technology (OT) devices. Travel regularly to field sites within a 1.5-2 hour radius of St. Clairsville, Ohio. Required Qualifications Strong networking background with proven hands‑on experience. Experience supporting and maintaining field‑based network environments. Comfortable working independently in remote locations. Ability and willingness to travel frequently throughout the region. Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license. Preferred Qualifications Experience with: Routers Firewalls Wireless / Wi‑Fi networks Network switches Experience supporting industrial or OT environments and familiarity with applications such as: ABB Totalflow Red Lion Rockwell Automation Cygnet Why Consider This Opportunity?
