Job Title: Assembler - Cleanroom Technician Job Description
This role focuses on assembling valves in a controlled cleanroom environment while operating test equipment to ensure product quality and performance. You will follow detailed instructions and blueprints, use hand and power tools, and maintain a clean, organized workspace. The position suits someone who is mechanically inclined, enjoys hands-on work, and can collaborate effectively with a team while also working independently.
Responsibilities

• Assemble valves and related components in a cleanroom environment according to blueprints, work instructions, and quality standards.
• Operate and monitor test equipment to verify the performance and integrity of assembled valves.
• Use hand and power tools, such as drills, saws, and hammers, to perform mechanical assembly tasks safely and accurately.
• Read and interpret tape measures and other measuring tools to ensure precise measurements and proper fit of components.
• Inspect parts and assemblies for defects or inconsistencies and report or correct issues as needed.
• Maintain the work area, tools, and equipment in clean, orderly, and safe condition in accordance with cleanroom protocols.
• Follow cleanroom gowning procedures, including wearing shoe covers, gowns, and nitrile gloves, to protect product integrity.
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals and support continuous improvement efforts.
• Learn and follow new procedures and techniques as training is provided, demonstrating a willingness to develop new skills.
• Work independently when required, managing tasks efficiently and maintaining a high level of attention to detail.

Essential Skills

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints for mechanical assembly.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools, including drills, saws, and hammers.
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately for precise measurements.
• Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with mechanical components and assemblies.
• Prior production or manufacturing experience.
• Previous cleanroom experience and understanding of cleanroom protocols.
• Ability to perform inspection tasks and identify defects or inconsistencies.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and also independently.
• Willingness to learn, be trained, and adapt to new processes and procedures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience operating test equipment in a production or manufacturing setting.
• Familiarity with mechanical assembly processes in a cleanroom environment.
• Comfort wearing full cleanroom attire, including gowns, shoe covers, and nitrile gloves.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality in all assembly and inspection tasks.
• Good communication skills to collaborate with team members and follow instructions clearly.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portland, OR.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.20/hr.
