Investment Management Private Funds Midlevel Associate

Job Overview A law firm seeks a midlevel associate with three to five years of large law firm experience to join their investment management practice in Los Angeles, CA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in forming private investment funds and related transactions. Duties Form private investment funds, including hedge funds, venture capital funds, and private equity funds. Structure and draft documentation for management entities and bonus and carry plans. Work on secondary transactions, including GP-led restructurings. Assist with investments by institutional investors in private funds and co-investments. Requirements Three to five years of experience in a large law firm. Familiarity with private fund structures and relevant laws and regulations. Active member of the bar in the state of the office location. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree required. Certifications Bar admission in the state of California. Skills Strong analytical and drafting skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
