Warehouse Receiving Supervisor

Job Summary The Warehouse Receiving Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all inbound shipments, ensuring accurate and timely receipt of goods, and maintaining efficient warehouse operations. This role supervises receiving staff, enforces safety and quality standards, and coordinates with vendors, carriers, and internal departments to ensure smooth workflow. Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily receiving operations, including unloading, inspecting, and verifying incoming shipments with multiple LTL/Freight carriers Ensure all deliveries are checked against purchase orders and properly documented Lead, train, and evaluate receiving staff to maintain productivity and accuracy Maintain inventory accuracy through proper receipts and corrective measures Enforce safety procedures and ensure compliance with company policies and OSHA regulations Investigate and resolve discrepancies, damages, or shortages in shipments Coordinate dock schedules and communicate with carriers and suppliers Monitor and improve receiving processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area Collaborate with warehouse, inventory, and procurement teams Responsible for receiving equipment like forklift, pallet jack, etc. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred) 5 plus years of warehouse experience, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role Strong knowledge of receiving, inventory control, and warehouse operations Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and basic computer skills Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipmentExcellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly Standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods Comfortable working in varying warehouse conditions (temperature, noise, etc.) Work Environment Fast-paced warehouse setting Hours are Monday – Friday 8‑5 and depending on business needs Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and holidays Retirement plan options #J-18808-Ljbffr
