Magical Beginnings Learning Academy is urgently hiring a Floating Teacher (EEC Certified) for our infant, toddler, and preschool program in Middleton, MA (225 Maple Street) . If you're an experienced floater, infant teacher, toddler teacher, preschool teacher, or early childhood educator who is comfortable adapting across age groups from infants through preschool , we'd love to meet you. You’ll thrive in this role if you have: You're adaptable and comfortable moving between infant, toddler, and preschool classrooms throughout the day You bring an energetic approach to learning and a positive attitude in every room you support You're curious, creative, and have a strong team-focused mindset You build rapport with children and co-teachers quickly, even in unfamiliar classrooms You take pride in maintaining consistency and quality of care no matter which age group you're supporting You're value partnering closely with families and communicating openly across classrooms Some requirements of the role include: Availability to work full time between the hours of 7:00AM and 5:00PM, Monday through Friday Ability to spend extended periods of time on the floor with the children Ability to lift up to 50lbs Ability to stand up to 90% of the workday Attentiveness, strong time management, and a team-focused mindset As a Floating Teacher, you will be responsible for: Providing substitute coverage across classrooms when teachers are out sick, on planning time, or need a break throughout the day Stepping in to support infant, toddler, and preschool classrooms as needed, maintaining consistent quality of care Following each classroom's existing routines, lesson plans, and schedules to provide continuity for children and lead teachers Assisting with daily routines, including meals or bottles, diapering, outdoor time, and naptime, as appropriate to each age group Helping maintain cleanliness throughout the school, including classrooms, common areas, and shared spaces Keeping parents informed and building positive relationships with children and families across classrooms Maintaining your EEC-required professional development hours and PQ registry What Magical Beginnings offers you: Paid sick time 13 paid holidays*, plus a guaranteed paid week-long winter break Paid snow days and vacation time* Medical, dental, and vision insurance* Long-term disability Company-paid life insurance with additional voluntary coverage Parental leave Child care discount ($25/day) Weekly pay and direct deposit Referral and enrollment bonuses Classroom tablets A budget for classroom supplies Paid classroom planning time Free coffee and tea Teachers’ lounge and break room Mentor program Teacher appreciation events Team building activities Holiday parties and seasonal events School community outreach projects *Available to full-time employees only $17 - $24 an hour Payroll is processed weekly.
