Details:

Network Infrastructure Architect

Location: Carlsbad, CA (4 days onsite)

Duration: 6-12 months

Required:

Proficient in triaging advanced system and network alerts across enterprise environments.
Strong knowledge of enterprise network architecture, data center ecosystems, and hybrid cloud infrastructures.
Hands-on experience with virtualization and SDN platforms (e.g., VMware, NSX).
Advanced Linux and Windows administration with emphasis on network services, security hardening, and patching.
Expertise in networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF), routing, subnetting, NAT, and firewall configurations.
Experience managing network hardware and appliances (Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, F5, NetScaler).
Skilled in performance tuning, latency optimization, capacity planning, and network analytics.
Strong automation skills using Python, PowerShell, Ansible, or PowerCLI.
Familiar with network security (VPNs, ACLs, IDS/IPS, auditing, SIEMs like Splunk or ELK).
Able to identify and automate manual operational workloads through tooling and scripting.
Comfortable with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, NetFlow, Wireshark, Nagios).
Collaborative mindset with experience across network engineering, DevOps, and security teams.
Proven ability to mentor junior/intermediate engineers and lead troubleshooting of complex, multi-platform issues.
Strong documentation habits, organizational skills, and ability to work across distributed teams.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and stakeholder audiences.
Willing to travel up to 10%.
