Responsibilities Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines High and low voltage motor testing and troubleshooting High voltage circuit breaker tests and troubleshooting High voltage circuits testing and troubleshooting Electric control troubleshooting Piping and wiring Basic pneumatic control Basic hydraulic controls Basic air conditioner repair and troubleshooting Lights and receptacles troubleshooting Participate in good housekeeping practices using 5S Housekeeping program Follow all safety policies, procedures and practices Assist with other departmental needs as required Must be able to provide instruction, direction and support to outside contractors for special projects or plant outages Operate mobile equipment Additional duties as assigned by supervisor Qualifications High school graduation or equivalent is required Minimum 3 years of electrical maintenance experience Mechanical welding and machinist skills are preferred Ability to read, write, and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc. Willingness to learn; training will be provided Ability to perform essential duties and meet qualifications required for this position Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily Able to communicate orally and in writing Volunteers readily; undertakes self‑development activities; seeks increased responsibilities; takes independent actions and calculated risks; looks for and takes advantage of opportunities; asks for help when needed Ability to work under pressure Judgment to ensure safe operation of equipment and safe work practices Follow all department timeline requirements Contact supervisor and/or manager as necessary Monitor and maintain material flows to ensure product quality within specifications Serve as a role model in leadership, teamwork, customer focus, safety, and environmental stewardship Strong oral and written communication, effectively communicating with others within the organization Ability to work with basic applied mathematics Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, and/or diagram form Proficient on Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Physical Requirements and Work Environment Work to be performed in a shop environment and outdoors throughout the plant. Mild exposure to cement dust, heat, cold, and noise requires compliance with specified safety guidelines and procedures. Exposure to high elevations of up to 250 feet, all weather conditions, and normal operation of mobile equipment may result in jarring and vibratory exposure. Physical activities include but are not limited to: climbing, walking, standing, bending in the plant; frequently lift and/or move up to fifteen pounds and occasionally up to fifty pounds.
