Senior Software Engineer – Multi-Asset Order Management System (OMS) New York, NY | Hybrid Competitive Salary + Excellent Benefits Our client is a well-funded financial technology business building a next-generation, multi-asset Order Management System (OMS) from the ground up. The platform will support trading across equities, fixed income, options, futures, FX, digital assets and alternative investments through a single, unified platform. This is a senior, hands-on opportunity for an engineer who enjoys building complex financial infrastructure, solving challenging distributed systems problems and having genuine ownership over architecture and development. The Role You’ll play a key role in designing and building a mission-critical trading platform from the ground up. You’ll be responsible for: Designing and developing a scalable multi-asset OMS Owning the full trade lifecycle, including order routing, execution, allocations, positions and reconciliation Building FIX, exchange, custodian and third-party trading integrations Developing high-performance market data and execution pipelines Designing resilient, event-driven distributed systems Scaling the platform to support high volumes of concurrent orders and multiple asset classes Evolving the platform towards a fully real-time trading environment Working closely with technical and executive leadership on long-term architecture About You You’ll be an experienced trading systems engineer with a strong background building production systems that handle live capital. You’ll bring: 8+ years' experience building production trading systems Expert-level Python for backend services, integrations and data processing Strong C++ experience in high-performance or low-latency environments Experience with Smart Order Routing and exchange connectivity Deep knowledge of distributed systems, event-driven architecture and messaging Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS or similar technologies Strong PostgreSQL and high-volume data processing experience Experience building real-time streaming systems and scalable data pipelines Strong understanding of financial markets, execution, reconciliation and trading workflows Experience supporting highly available, mission-critical production environments Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with both technical and executive stakeholders Nice to Have Low-latency trading systems experience AWS and cloud architecture Algorithmic execution strategies such as VWAP, TWAP or implementation shortfall Trading risk and exposure management Custodian or brokerage integrations Experience across digital assets, private markets, hedge funds or alternative investments The Opportunity Join a well-funded and rapidly growing FinTech business Build core trading infrastructure from the ground up Work across multiple asset classes and complex financial systems Significant technical ownership and influence Solve challenging distributed systems and real-time trading problems Work alongside experienced technical and business leadership Help shape the architecture of a next-generation trading platform If you're a senior engineer with deep trading systems experience and want to build something genuinely complex from the ground up, we'd love to hear from you. #J-18808-Ljbffr
