Job Duties

Essential Functions Statement(s)

• Plan and verify machining needs by studying work orders and/or engineering department materials.

• Plan and verify materials to be used, check stock inventory to ensure all parts necessary are in stock.

• Load and unload parts in machines following applicable safety precautions.

• Operate machine tools and equipment in order to produce parts of varying complexity as outlined in work orders and/or engineering documents following manufacturing process and procedures.

• Inspect completed parts according to the specifications and quality standards, including visually inspecting the surface for appearance and defects.

• Accurately and timely complete required documentation for all jobs in ERP system.

• Maintains equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.

• Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities and continuing needs.

• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.

• Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.

• Conducts duties in a safe, productive manner and in compliance with applicable OSHA and General Equipment Company safety regulations.

• Complete other duties and tasks as assigned.

Minimum Education Required

Minimum 2 year CNC Machine or Tool and Die Coursework.

Minimum Experience Required

5 years CNC Machine shop experience preferred.
