Associate Attorney

Overview National law firm Thompson, Coe, Cousins & Irons, LLP seeks an associate attorney with 2 to 7 years' experience in civil litigation to join the new Denver office of the firm. Civil and/or commercial litigation experience, especially in federal courts, is preferred; and previous judicial clerkship experience is strongly preferred. Excellent written advocacy skills and valid Colorado Bar license required. Responsibilities Work on a variety of civil litigation matters, including defending insurance carriers in complex, multi-party insurance coverage and bad faith litigation. Defend architects, engineers, general contractors and subcontractors in construction defect matters. Advise and defend employers in various labor and employment cases. Defend transportation, hospitality, real estate and other companies in personal injury matters (from minor to catastrophic). Gain practical, hands-on experience at every stage of litigation—from initial advice and counsel through trial, arbitration and/or appeal. Qualifications 2 to 7 years' experience in civil litigation (preferably federal courts). Excellent written advocacy skills. Active Colorado Bar license. Previous judicial clerkship strongly preferred.
