Join to apply for the Pediatric Dentist role at Prairie Band Health Services Description: We are currently seeking an experienced and compassionate Pediatric Dentist to join our team at the Albuquerque Indian Dental Clinic. This is a full-time locum tenens contract opportunity providing high-quality dental care to children within a family dental clinic setting serving the Native American community. Position Highlights: Flexible contract term (up to 12 months) with possible extensions Competitive hourly compensation No nights, weekends, or federal holidays Meaningful work supporting Native communities Work with any active U.S. state dental license Key Responsibilities: Deliver comprehensive pediatric dental care, including exams, preventive services, and restorative procedures Educate patients and caregivers on oral health and hygiene Maintain accurate dental records using Electronic Health Records (EHR) Collaborate with dental assistants, hygienists, and clinical staff to ensure coordinated patient care Qualifications: DDS or DMD from an ADA-accredited dental school Minimum of two years of pediatric dentistry experience (post-graduation or through fellowship) Active, unrestricted dental license in any U.S. state or territory Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Must be able to pass a federal background check and obtain facility credentialing Familiarity with EHR systems and ability to adapt to clinic protocols Prior IHS or tribal health experience is a plus Strong communication and teamwork skills Indian Preference Policy: In accordance with the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation Employment Code (Title 22), this position is designated as a Tier 2 role. Preference will be given to qualified Native American applicants as outlined in Section 22-2-4(B).
